The Tesla CEO was speaking at the CODE Conference 2021
Tesla CEO Elon Musk is one of the world’s most well-known people, and he offered his predictions for the year 2022 during an hour-long talk at the CODE Conference 2021 in Los Angeles.
He discussed a series of issues, which he believes will come to the fore during this calendar year.
Elon Musk’s predictions for 2022
Elon Musk has predicted that cryptocurrencies will become more popular across the world, as he made the case that these currencies are more reliable than today’s currencies because they are controlled by a network.
“At the moment, a few oligarchs control the foundations of money,” he said.
The Tesla CEO touched on energy demand as another potential problem, predicting that energy demand will double in a few years’ time. Elon Musk suggested alternatives that are already being considered, such as nuclear energy.
Drugs was also a topic that Elon Musk touched on, as he claims that both society and the legal system will be more permissive with the consumption of psychoactive drugs.
As he looked towards the future, he envisages robotic humanoids soon being a part of our lives.
Elon Musk finished by highlighting the relevance of his Starlink technology in the future, as he says that the satellite internet will be key to giving people in rural areas access to the internet at high connection speeds.
