THE LATEST heartfelt plea from Prince Harry in the name of his late mother’s awareness work has backfired as royal fans accuse him of jumping on another “bandwagon”.

The Duke of Sussex joined former Wales rugby captain Gareth Thomas to urge Britons to “go and get a test” to mark National HIV Testing Week. He vowed to continue Princess Diana’s “unfinished” work on the matter.

However, royal fans poured cold water on his latest intervention, suggesting it was just another attempt to grab attention since he and Meghan Markle stepped back as full-time royals.

@ChangaDuchess commented: “Another day; another bandwagon!” Meanwhile, @XarundelPrince asked: “Breaks his silence? For how long – an hour at the most? Could he just not break his silence for at least 10 years this time. He has nothing of value to say.”

@ScottBa08342332 said: “Trying to make himself look good again, too little, too late muppet.” And @djrustynail commented: “Silence? This man is always talking.”

@marilynstoweIs wrote: “He’s wasting his life. Why not make peace with his family and enjoy his super privileged life with them and his children?”

Meanwhile, American PR Expert Eric Schiffer has decoded the Queen’s announcement for Camilla to be a message for Prince Harry, Meghan Markle.

On November 8, 2016, Prince Harry issued a statement confirming his relationship with Meghan Markle

The Queen’s surprise announcement about Camilla being the future Queen Consort is thought to be a message of “loyalty” to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

According to American PR Expert Eric Schiffer, the monarch’s announcement on the eve of Ascension Day was done because of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s silence.

He added that the monarch “does not view them as being loyal” as the couple’s past actions were a “decapitation” of her trust.

Schiffer told the Daily Star: “I think the Queen’s move (Camilla announcement) seems designed, in part, to public opinion by creating this further connection to the crown and is clearly, secondarily directed at Meghan and Harry and their loyalty. It (loyalty) means something to her (Queen).

“The silence by Harry and Meghan suggests that the message may have been received.

“I think it sends a message that loyalty counts, which I don’t think the Queen views as being loyal. Quite the opposite, It is sort of a decapitation of loyalty.”

Last week, the Queen, 95, used her Platinum Jubilee message to express her “sincere wish” that the Duchess of Cornwall takes on the title of Queen Consort when Charles is ruler. The unexpected announcement saw Her Majesty make her intentions for the future of the monarchy public for the first time.

A YouGov poll that asks the public “Should the Duchess of Cornwall become Queen if Prince Charle becomes King?” charts the change in opinion on a bi-annual basis, with data dating back to 2019.

The most recent findings dating from November show that just 14 percent of respondents thought she should take on the “Queen Consort” title.

The book also claims Harry was, at the time, prone to lash out at anyone who "questioned his new relationship"

While 41 percent said she should have the Princess Consort title that had previously been confirmed as the one she would be taking.

However, following the Queen’s announcement, that Camilla would become Queen Consort, there’s a suggestion that the monarch’s intervention might have shifted opinion.

In the past, the public had shown some ill feelings towards the Duchess, mainly at the beginning of her relationship with Charles.

At the time of Princess Diana’s death in 1997, Camilla was not officially a royal, and she was known for being Prince Charles’s mistress and the reason he divorced Diana.

After joining the Firm in 2005 following her marriage to Prince Charles, Camilla was still often regarded as the “third person” in his marriage to Princess Diana.

However, according to a new poll by JL Partners for the Daily Mail conducted in the days after the Queen’s announcement, a clear majority of all age groups backed Camilla getting the new title.
