Patrick Mahomes in tears as his main weapon is down for the rest of 2024 season
The story of the off-season for the Kansas City Chiefs was the influx of new weapons for Patrick Mahomes. With the additions of speedy wide receivers Marquise Brown and Xavier Worthy, 2024 was expected to be a big bounce back season for the Chiefs offense.
But before we could even see them all on the field together in the regular season, “Hollywood” went down with a shoulder injury in preseason. He was expected to be ready to go within the first few weeks of September, but his injury did not heal properly, forcing the Chiefs to place him on IR on Friday.
It’s a big blow for the Chiefs offense, but a key piece of information was mentioned in a report.
“There still was a chance Brown could return for the postseason, but he was not expected back any sooner than mid-January, sources told Schefter.”
