Bianca Belair had arguably the toughest moment of her professional career at SummerSlam 2021 when she lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship to a returning Becky Lynch in 26 seconds.

WWE SummerSlam was headlined by John Cena challenging Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Title. Cena is no stranger to having to overcome adversity on-screen, living by the phrase, ‘never give up.’

”I really got to talk with John Cena a lot after the 26 seconds moment at SummerSlam. He really just gave me a lot of great advice and keep the right perspective of everything. Basically the gist of what he said was ‘moments like this you can really use to propel you. You see how much the fans really get behind you.’ For me, out of that, I was able to look at the longer picture, the bigger picture and hopefully one day it’ll come back full circle, who knows,” she said. “But for me, I took it as you can use this as an opportunity to show who you are without that title. I’m still the EST of WWE and I’m still going to go out there and show out every single time I step in the ring and you really get to see who’s behind you. Ironically, I think that moment really propelled me and made me a bigger star.”

Though Belair had opportunities to regain the title in the coming months, but she could never best Becky.

Belair could earn an opportunity at the Raw Women’s Championship on Saturday at WWE Elimination Chamber when she faces Doudrop, Liv Morgan, Alex Bliss, Rhea Ripley, and Nikki ASH in an elimination chamber match.

So the EST of WWE will be in Saudi Arabia on Saturday (February 19) as she battles Doudrop, Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, Nikki A.S.H. and Liv Morgan for a shot at the Raw Women’s Championship, and she’s looking to avenge her 26-second loss to Becky Lynch at SummerSlam last year while putting her own stamp on the brutal match.

She exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘I feel like, being someone who didn’t come from the wrestling business and wasn’t from the independent scene, I have that unique outlet I can really pull from outside wrestling which can sometimes be a breath of fresh air, something new to reinvent the wheel.

‘I’m definitely trying to do that in the Elimination Chamber.’

While Bianca has made sure to do her homework by looking back at past Chamber bouts, she also wants to ‘create something new’ and unexpected to keep things fresh for the fans, and to play to her own strengths.

‘I’ve gone back and watched – I know Liv, she was definitely in the last one when Shayna won. I’ve gone back and watched a few, but I just feel like it’s so unpredictable,’ she explained.

You can go back and watch as many as possible, I’m just gonna depend on my ESTs – I’m gonna depend on being the strongest, the toughest, the roughest in the Elimination Chamber match to come out on top.

‘I’m always looking to set the tone and reinvent everything anyway. I wanna see if we can go out there and do things people haven’t seen before and just create something new with the Elimination Chamber match.’

Bianca will be back in Saudi Arabia this weekend having appeared at Crown Jewel in October when she battled Lynch and Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women’s Title, and she’ll have a great spot after winning Monday’s gauntlet match on Raw to guarantee she’ll be the final entrant.

She’s looking forward to testing herself against five of Raw’s best superstars, with a lot hanging in the balance with the victor going onto to face the winner between champ Becky and her challenger Lita.

‘This is gonna be my first Elimination Chamber, and in Saudi Arabia as well – I’m excited about going back. I think that it’s a really cool dynamic of everyone who’s involved in the match,’ she said.

‘It’s really unpredictable. I’m very, very excited about it. I’m glad I get to be a part of it. Like I said, I feel like no one wants this W more than me, with what’s at stake for the winner.’
