Billie Eilish is one of the most successful musicians to date. She gained notoriety in 2015 for her single Ocean Eyes. Ever since then she has been winning awards, touring, and releasing albums. Fans were so excited for her when it was announced she would be performing at this year’s Oscars ceremony. With this huge step in her career, Billie revealed some of her feeling towards her upcoming performance. Read on to find out what she’s feeling before her big Oscars performance.

Billie Eilish’s Journey To The Oscars
Eilish came into the spotlight with her single Ocean Eyes which later appeared on her debut EP, Don’t Smile at Me. This EP consisted of seven songs that she wrote alongside her brother, Finneas O’Connell. They produced it together as well. It even featured a previously released song called &Burn that featured rapper Vince Staples.

After the success of her EP, Eilish released her debut studio album in 2019. The album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? reached number one in the UK and received wonderful recognition in the United States as well. It was one of the best-selling albums of that year. After this, she released a number of singles before releasing her second studio album. One of the most popular singles was Everything I Wanted.

In 2021, she announced on Instagram that her second debut album, Happier Than Ever would be coming out soon. She teased the album’s greatness by showing her love for it, elaborating that the album “feels exactly how I want it to. There isn’t one song, or one part of one song, that I wish was this or that I wish it was that.” It was clear this project meant a lot to her and fans could not wait to hear it.

The title track Happier Than Ever was released as a single. It quickly became loved by fans and critics. Making the upcoming album even more anticipated. This year, Billie and Finneas wrote three songs for the 2022 Pixar film Turning Red. These songs were performed by fictional characters in the movie.

She Has Mixed Feelings About Her Performance For The Oscars
It was confirmed that both Eilish and Finneas will be performing at the Oscars this year. They will be performing the song No Time To Die, the theme track for the latest James Bond movie. The song also received a nomination for Best Original Song; this will be both Eilish and Finneas’ first Oscar nomination.

Eilish recently revealed how she really feels about performing this Sunday at the Oscars, saying she was feeling both “very nervous and very excited” about the performance. Both performing and being a nominee have her feeling these mixed emotions. Fans are most likely feeling the same emotions in hopes of Eilish and Finneas winning Best Original Song.

What To Expect From Billie Eilish Next
Alongside being a musical phenomenon, Eilish has recently released her own fragrance. The fragrance named after herself, Eilish, has been doing incredibly well. In fact, it sold out within hours of its release. December 2021, she was both the host and musical guest for Saturday Night Live where she performed the title track to her second debut album, Happier Than Ever.

Eilish was also confirmed to headline Coachella for this year. Although an exciting accolade for a musician’s career, this became the middle of drama with musician Kanye West. Since West is also meant to perform at Coachella he demanded an apology from Eilish before he would consider performing at the event. He wanted her to apologize to Travis Scott after she helped a fan at her show following the tragedies that happened at Scott’s Astroworld show. She responded to West by saying “literally never said a thing about Travis. was just helping a fan.”

Eilish has even Grammy wins. Including Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year. She won all four of these awards the same year making her the first female artist to ever win four main categories within the same night. This has fans talking about this year’s Grammys and if Billie will be sweeping the categories she is nominated for.

This year she is nominated for seven categories including, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year. The 2022 Grammys premiere April 3, 2022, and fans can watch to see which categories Eilish wins in. Until then, fans can watch Eilish and Finneas on the 94th Oscars performing No Time To Die.
