Fans Await LeBron James To Convince The Lakers’ Ownership To Make A Move For Damian Lillard

LeBron James-Damian Lillard mashup

It’s LeBron James’ turn to convince Lakers to sign Damian Lillard
Can LeBron James convince the Lakers about Lillard before deadline

After last Tuesday’s painful loss against the Milwaukee Bucks, it’s pretty clear that the Los Angeles Lakers need way more than just LeBron James and Anthony Davis to win. If this team wants to emulate in any form what they did in 2020, they need a new player who can arrive at the team before the trade deadline that ends next Thursday.

That player is a point guard who was just left on his own to deal with the competition after CJ McCollum just left the Portland Trail Blazers. You guessed it, we are talking about Damian Lillard and he’s already been hyping up a possible exit from his current team. In a recent live he made on his social media, LeBron James was spotted watching and Lillard was cryptic yet clear with his message. He urged James to “make that call”. We all know what he means by that

Destiny wanted the Los Angeles Lakers to visit the Portland Trail Blazers a day before the deadline comes to a close. James needs to take this opportunity to convince the Lakers’ ownership to make a move for Damian Lillard.

Since he started his career in the NBA, Lillard has established himself as one of the most important shooters the game has seen over the last 20 years. There is only one problem, Portland can’t give him the trophy he desires and the Lakers have everything he needs. In fact, Lillard is also precisely the type of player that Los Angeles need in order t recover that hope back after losing it quickly this season.

Can Westbrook leave as trading material?
All signs point at a trade between Damian Lillard and Russell Westbrook. Tonight’s game was pretty revealing from Russ, he seems fed up with the Lakers fans and probably wants to leave as soon as possible. There were two specific moments against the Bucks in which he committed uneccesary violations that only rookies make.

At the end of the game, he was trying to console LeBron James but the ‘King’ was talking to him as if he was making demands. Lillard for Westbrook plus another player from the Lakers seems like the perfect deal for both teams. Portland needs a point guard to replace Damian and another player to replace McCollum. Can the Lakers make it happen once LeBron James convinces them?
