“I’m tired of her shit,” the TikToker said. Eilish took that literally.
Oscar winner Billie Eilish apparently likes to scroll TikTok on the toilet, just like everybody else. Case in point: The singer-songwriter recently came across a video naming the ultra-ruffled floor-length jet-black gown she recently wore on the red carpet of the 2022 Academy Awards as one of the night’s “worst” looks.
“I hate to do it, but here’s my worst dressed from the Oscars,” user @koltenkephart says in the video before cutting to a photo of Eilish in her voluminous Gucci gown. “I’ve had enough of her shit.”
In response, the “No Time to Die” singer dueted the TikTok, flipping off the camera and posing on the commode. “I HAVEN’T had enough of my shit. I am shitting right now,” the pop star wrote alongside the post.
Accounts including, uh, Lionsgate and Duolingo commented approvingly. TikTok is weird.
Eilish often uses the app to address negativity, including one rather iconic moment when she wrote that unkind comments were “literally all I see on this app…eat my dust my tits are bigger than yours.”
Eilish didn’t even wear the gown in question for very long. By the time she got on stage to accept her award, alongside her brother Finneas, for their James Bond theme, she’d changed into another drapey Gucci ensemble.
While Eilish has begun to dabble outside her comfort zone when it comes to fashion, the singer has regularly discussed why she gravitates towards oversized looks on the red carpet and beyond. “I never want the world to know everything about me,” she explained in a 2019 Calvin Klein campaign. “I mean, that’s why I wear big, baggy clothes: Nobody can have an opinion, because they haven’t seen what’s underneath.” In a June 2019 interview with Vogue Australia, she said her style “gives nobody the opportunity to judge what my body looks like.”
In a follow-up video, @koltenkephart responded with a ranking of Billie Eilish looks they do approve of. “It seems as if Billie has forgot all the wonderful things I say about her all the time,” the TikToker said.
Isn’t it nice when everyone is nice? In that spirit, let’s all remember some of Billie Eilish’s best looks of her 2021 blonde era. That Marilyn Monroe moment at the Met Gala truly was stunning, wasn’t it?
